Originally from Kansas City, Joseph graduated from Lipscomb University with a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, where he majored in Finance. In his time at Lipscomb, he was a co-founder of the Lipscomb Finance Club, which educated college students on different career opportunities in finance.

Joseph began his professional career working for a private real estate company serving across a variety of functions. The bulk of his experience was focused on helping his company make its initial foray into owning and managing multifamily complexes. As a part of that, he conducted economic research to locate attractive markets across the Southeast for the company to transact in. Additionally, he sourced, underwrote, and created business plans to reposition those multifamily acquisitions. Through his work in building the multifamily platform, his company was able to grow substantially.  

Currently, he works for a private equity real estate company based in Nashville. He is focused on asset management across a handful of asset types, but his main focus is on multifamily properties. Primarily he monitors the execution of the business plan and engages the operating partners whenever necessary to create value over the course of the investment lifecycle.
